Top 44 Snowboard Jackets (and Pants) of 2013/2014

After launching their snow line a few years back, Nike are now well-established among snowboarding outerwear designers. They’ve done away with patterns of previous seasons in favour of block colours and understated cuts. We’re big fans of the Hazed jacket (right) with subtle two-tone bomber jacket sleeves and the bright ‘n’ bold Shasta jacket with matching pants for ladies (left). Great if you’re pondering over new kit – but don’t want to splash too much cash this season.

ABOUT NIKE SNOWBOARDING

Launching into snowboarding with a big bang a few years back, Nike are now well-established as outerwear makers. Their all-star team, which includes the likes of Gigi Ruf, Nicolas Muller, Danny Kass and our very own Jamie Nicholls, apparently get involved in the design process for each new season’s range. This year they obviously stated a preference for on-trend block colours, because (for these pieces at least) Nike have done away with the patterns that characterised previous collections. The men’s Hazed Jacket here, with its grey sleeves and black torso, is particularly striking in its simplicity. However in keeping with last season’s range, the prices here are still very reasonable.
