Top 44 Snowboard Jackets (and Pants) of 2013/2014

Nikita are one of the great modern snow brands for women, with a range of quality kit in quirky designs. The Dynja jacket (left) is a rad-looking slim cut while the Mayon jacket (right) has a cosy Sherpa fleece lining and comes in coated poly denim and plaid contrast that give these threads their street textured appearance. The great thing about Nikita is they give you the option of baggy boy-style pants like the Parnassus (right) or flattering skinny fit Pilatus trousers (left).

ABOUT NIKITA SNOWBOARDING

Back in the early nineties, girls who wanted to rock snowboard brands had to put up with borrowing their boyfriend’s clothes, or buying men’s kit in extra small. Yep, weird as it now seems, for a long time there was no such thing as female-specific shredwear. All that changed when Nikita founder Heida Birgisdottir started making clothes and selling them from the skate shop she and her boyfriend owned in Reykjavik. At first she made garments for herself and her friends, but as word spread and sales took off, she quickly realised she was onto something. And so in 2000, Nikita was born. Still based out of Reykjavik, the brand “For Girls Who Ride” now enjoys a global following thanks to its quirky style and quality kit.
