Union Bindings are, in this writer’s opinion, the best on the market. They’ve been doing it for 12 years now, using the highest quality materials to keep your feet locked in and feeling comfy as hell all day. Every year Union continue to champion the cause of reducing the amount of contact between the binding and board, reducing ‘dead spots’ to make the board flex to it’s natural pattern. Rumour is Union developed the first 0% contact binding but are having some difficulty with boards flying all over the mountain, so we’ll have to settle for 5% on the Contact Pro.
Speaking of Pros, Gigi Ruf spent three years developing the Contact Pro – if it gets his approval, then it gets ours too. Other notable binders from the Union gods this year include the Atlas, the favourite of Torstein Horgmo, another T.Rice special and one fine looking Scott Stevens Contact edition. AND Union are making a team movie this year. We can’t wait to see a full length film with the whole team, because it will be stacked! Only the best, stronger than ever.
