Quiksilver are always a firm favourite as they offer a whole range of outerwear from plain primary colours to jazzy prints, Gore-Tex jackets to spring shredding shells. We’ve selected a mix from their high-end Gore-Tex selection including Travis Rice’s Girdwood jacket (left). The Girdwood opts for optimal comfort with serious waterproof and breathability rating, so you’ll stay bone-dry even when you end up head first in a pow pillow. The Real Gore jacket (right) is a slim-fit, lighter jacket with the same useful Gore-Tex specs as the Girdwood and rocks with a pair of bright red Cliff Gore pants.

ABOUT QUIKSILVER SNOWBOARDING
Founded by a couple of American surfers in 1976, Quiksilver grew rapidly, and by the mid-80s was expanding into snowboarding and other sports. In 1990 – the same year they signed the all-conquering Kelly Slater to their team – Quik also scooped up hell-raising snowboard legend Shaun Palmer. Today their snow team is headed by a certain Mr. Travis Rice, and also includes the likes of French halfpipe star Matthieu Crepel. Their outerwear, which includes several distinct collections, ranges from plain primary-coloured jackets to super-bright prints. On the tech side, there’s something for everyone, from spring shredding shells to insulated Gore-Tex jackets and everything in between – after all, they are one of the biggest boardsports companies around.
