Best Quick Entry Snowboard Bindings For 2026-2027

Our favourite quick entry snowboard bindings for 2026-2027 tested, chosen and reviewed by the Whitelines Team

Wwhich is the best snowboard binding on the market? It’s a bit of a tough question to answer considering all the factors that come into play. Bindings are an extremely important part of your set up, they’re the critical interface between you and your snowboard, but often find themselves somewhat overlooked.

“They’re the critical interface between you and your snowboard”

You want to be choosing a snowboard binding that matches the rest of your set up, (no- we don’t mean the colour) If you’re riding a mega aggressive carbon infused charger, it doesn’t make sense to put a super soft binding on it, you just won’t get the response and control you’re looking for. Conversely if you’re a mellow jib kid looking to tweak and poke, you’ll be better suited to a softer flexing model to garner a larger field of motion and a more playful feel.

Nowadays however the choice stretches even further due to more and more innovations in the quick entry or “step-in” systems that allow you to get riding that little bit faster. From Burton StepOns to Nidecker Supermatics, and, most recently the all new FASE system there are more options than ever. Especially as brands begin to license their proprietary tech out to competitors.

To help sort the wheat from the chaff, our test team worked their way through every option on the market to bring you a list of the best quick-entry binding systems on the market.

The Best Quick Entry Snowboard Bindings For 2026-2027

We’ve tested the most advanced quick‑entry binding systems on the market for winter 2026-27. From hybrid rear‑entry to full boot‑lock interfaces, to bring you the top picks for seamless ride days. Whether you’re hitting the park, chasing pow or spamming chairlift laps, these bindings save time and deliver performance. The Whitelines 100 winners are as follows:

Nidecker OG Supermatic

FLEX: 6/10
ENTRY SYSTEM: Speed Entry
NEW FOR 26/27 SEASON: No

Nidecker OG Supermatic Bindings.

Why We Chose The Nidecker OG Supermatic Bindings:

The binding that broke Burton’s dominance of the convenience market remains one of the best speed entry models money can buy – a fast entry system that works with any boot and rides like a classic two-strap when it matters.

Who Is The Nidecker OG Supermatic For?

Anyone who wants to try speed entry without committing to the priciest models – or ditching their favourite boots from another brand. There’s no bending or sitting down to wrestle with ratchets off the lift, but you still have the option to buckle up by hand whenever you feel the need.

Tech Talk

Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features

The Auto baseplate and heel pedal deliver the original hands-free Supermatic experience – step in and go, or crank the ratchets manually if you find yourself in tricky terrain like a narrow ridgeline or super deep pow. Exit comes courtesy of a release lever on the inside. Glass-filled nylon construction across both the baseplate and highback brings proven durability, with a mellow flex that suits most intermediate riders and park fans. The Exo-Frame Hybrid ankle strap and AuxTech-equipped Hexo Toecap spread pressure evenly for genuine two-strap comfort, while auto-locking LSR 2.0 buckles let you dial the fit in seconds.

Tester Verdict

Maria Kuzma

“The bindings were a great fit for the board I was riding them with (the Nidecker Odyssey). Both products together created a super dampened ride that felt confident through cruddy piste. The OG’s themselves were fast in and out, and felt really responsive. Overall a great feeling underfoot. Chef’s kiss.”

Rome Katana AW Pro FASE Bindings.

Why We Chose The Rome Katana AW Pro FASE Bindings:

Rome’s Katana family has long set the benchmark for super adjustable two-straps – now the premium carbon-infused version joins the fast entry party, losing none of its legendary edge.

Who Is The Rome Katana AW Pro FASE For?

Riders who’ve spent years dialling in their trusty two-straps but keep eyeing up the speed entry crowd – this is your bridge. The flex runs stiff enough for proper all-terrain charging, yet Pat found plenty of freestyle fun in there too. Rome have hit this one out the park.

That multitude of positions means you can keep things surfy or dial up the power, hence our flex rating sits in a range.

Bataloen Ghost FASE™ Bindings.

Why We Chose The Bataleon Ghost FASE Bindings:

Bataleon’s all-new MonoFrame chassis brings FASE tech to a budget-friendly price point, proving you don’t need to sell a kidney to jump on the fast entry train.

Who Is The Bataleon Ghost FASE For?

Nidecker LT Supermatic

PRICE: £419.99 / €449.95 / $479.95
SIZES: M, L, XL
FLEX: 8/10
ENTRY SYSTEM: Speed Entry
NEW FOR 26/27 SEASON: No

Nidecker LT Supermatic Bindings.

Why We Chose The Nidecker LT Supermatic Bindings:

Nidecker’s mid-tier Supermatic gets a stylish new baseplate, a punchier colour lineup, and all the hands-free convenience that made the original a monster hit. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Who Is The Nidecker LT Supermatic For?

Confident all-mountain riders who want the ultimate in speed-entry convenience without giving up performance. Sitting between the entry-level OG Supermatic and range-topping Carbon version, the LT brings a stiffer, more responsive feel plus a much sharper look – ideal for anyone who’s sold on hands-free entry but wants their bindings to turn heads too.

Tech Talk

Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features

The redesigned Auto S baseplate brings a genuinely sleeker look to this year’s LT, alongside rockered corners for natural board flex. Supermatic’s clever heel pedal is still there (stomp down to flip up the highback and lock yourself in – no cranking required) while the minimalist highback features a touch more support than the OG model and molded spines on the inside to smooth entry. The single-piece Exo-Frame S Hybrid ankle strap and Hexo Toecap 2.0 feel… well, just like a regular two-strap binding, with auto-locking LSR 2.0 buckles that you can ‘set and forget’ or adjust on the fly. No fewer than seven colourways are available this year – including a sick camo edition.

Tester Verdict

Pat Nichols

“New baseplate, even lighter. For step-in systems, the Supermatic is hard to beat!”

Rome Volt FASE

PRICE: £279.99 / €299.95 / $329.95
SIZES:Men’s: XS, S, M, L / Women’s: XS, S, M
FLEX: 5-6/10
ENTRY SYSTEM: Speed Entry
NEW FOR 26/27 SEASON: Yes

Rome Volt FASE Bindings.

Why We Chose The Rome Volt FASE Bindings:

It’s a FASE take on freestyle. Rome’s new Volt family wraps the latest fast entry wizardry in a one-piece chassis with a smooth, jib-happy flex – and at a wallet-friendly price.

Who Is The Rome Volt FASE For?

Park rats and piste cruisers who fancy quicker strap-ins but have (so far) struggled to justify the price. Available in men’s and women’s versions, the Volt’s mellow, rail-friendly flex suits jibbers, butter enthusiasts and progressing shredders alike – while Rome’s trademark stack of adjustment options mean it’ll feel comfy with almost any board and boot combo.

Tech Talk

Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
The new MonoFrame chassis combines the baseplate and heelcup into a single piece of tough, moulded nylon. FASE’s semi-automatic entry shuts the highback as you step in, leaving you to crank the rear ratchet one-handed. The highback itself is pre-rotated six degrees for better comfort, while the ankle strap’s OmniFlex material offers a tweak-friendly torsional flex alongside a TPU spine for solid toe-heel response. ProGrip toe straps offer three positions – and once you’ve set them up you don’t even need to touch them to get in and out of the binding.

Tester Verdict

Maria Kuzma

“The FASE system worked as designed… a little faster in and out. The Volts worked well overall, especially paired with the awesome Viper Pro board.”

Bataleon Blaster FASE

PRICE: $379.95
SIZES: M/L, L/XL
FLEX: 6
ENTRY SYSTEM: FASE
NEW FOR 26/27 SEASON: No

Bataleon Blaster FASE™ Bindings.

Why We Chose The Bataleon Blaster FASE Bindings:

Six years in development and the most revolutionary thing since, well, Supermatic and Step On, the FASE system promises to carve its own niche in the fast-growing speed-entry market – delivering (relatively) fast entry without sacrificing the look and feel of a traditional two-strap binding. Bataleon is one of several brands to have jumped on the bandwagon and the Blaster is their finest iteration.

Who Is The Bataleon Blaster FASE For?

Riders tempted by convenience but who are not yet ready to trade their classic two-straps for a fully-automatic system. This multi-brand collaboration between Bataleon, Jones, Rome, and ThirtyTwo is a new twist on speed entry – offering one-handed operation while maintaining the locked-in feel that serious shredders demand.

Tech Talk

Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
The FASE system centers around three key innovations. The AutoBack automatically closes when you step in and opens for exit, while the Lock-in ToeStrap uses tri-toothed ladders to maintain position between rides (eagle-eyed riders will see parallels here with Supermatic’s LSR 2.0 buckles, and indeed FASE was born out of the same Nidecker brand group). Most cleverly, the FastStrap ankle system stays connected via an extended ladder for genuine one-handed operation. Bataleon’s AsymWrap aluminium frame enhances side-to-side flex while maintaining heel-to-toe power, supported by 3D AuxTech CradleStraps that eliminate pressure points. The 2-degree canted footbed and adjustable forward lean ensure this performs like a premium traditional binding once you’re locked in.

Tester Verdict

Ronan Thompson

“I’ve ridden the Rome Katanas (which are based off the same baseplate as the Blasters) for a couple of seasons and I loved them. Super light, great support in the high back and I love the straps and the way they mould to your boot. After a couple of days on the Blasters, I actually think I prefer them. They’re just a little bit softer, but still with solid support in all the right places. It took a bit of time to set and get used to the FASE system, but once I had it dialled it was really impressive. It’s all about the back foot, you can sort it out so quickly and easily, even on the move.”

Jones Mercury FASE

PRICE: £389.95 / €359.95 / $369.95
SIZES: S, M, L
FLEX: 8/10
ENTRY SYSTEM: Speed Entry (FASE)
NEW FOR 26/27 SEASON: No

Why We Chose The Jones Mercury FASE Bindings:

The binding that launched Jones’ FASE line remains its benchmark – a versatile all-mountain workhorse pairing proper two-strap response with genuinely rapid entry.

Who Is The Jones Mercury FASE For?

Confident all-terrain riders who refuse to choose between convenience and performance. Whether you’re charging lines or getting creative in resort, the Mercury delivers the locked-in feel of a traditional binding – minus (most of) the faff. Sure, it’s not quite as ‘hands-free’ as Step On or Supermatic, but it speeds up the cranking ritual without any noticeable weight increase.

Tech Talk

Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
The FASE trio – hands-free AutoBack highback, one-handed FastStrap ankle ladder, set-and-forget toe strap – adds just 40g over a standard two-strap. Beyond that, the Mercury means business: a glass-nylon Fusion XR baseplate for instant response, mid-stiff AsymFlex highback with an extended wing for turning power, a DualFlex ankle strap featuring a stiff TPU core, and a chatter-soaking ImpactCush footbed with 3-degree cant. Phew! Got all that? Tl;dr:  it’s a beast!

Tester Verdict

Pat Nichols

“I was a fan of the Mercury when they launched the original binding, and it was great to test it again now, a few years and updates later – including FASE technology. They feel perfectly responsive without being restrictive. And the new blue colour is also banging.”
