Bataleon Donna Women’s Snowboard Bindings 2025-2026
PRICE: €300 / $320 / £270
SIZES: S, M, L
FLEX: 5/10
ENTRY SYSTEM: Classic
NEW FOR 25/26 SEASON: No
Why we chose the Bataleon Donna:
Bataleon’s commitment to creating a line of top-notch women’s specific hardware is palpable, but the Donna AsymWrap stands out as a diamond among jewels.
Who is the Bataleon Donna for?
Thanks to its easy-going flex, the barrier for entry here is super attainable, and terrain-wise, you’re covered for just about everything. The AsymWrap Donna would suit a rider with a looser, surfier style, whereas the HeelWrap version offers a bit more traditional support for those looking for a more powerful response.
Tech Talk
Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
This ain’t just a small men’s binding that they’ve stuck some ‘pretty colours’ on, Bataleon uses a specially made highback designed for women’s bodies. It’s also super-customisable in the highback, footbed and heel cup so you dial in the perfect fit with ease. AuxTech toe straps use a honeycomb-esque pattern to stretch over your boot without distorting or causing pressure points, whilst the reduced footprint size allows for natural flex of your snowboard to reduce any outside noise when you’re ripping.
Tester Verdict
Sara Previte
“These had a nice, approachable feeling that’s suitable for beginner to intermediate development. The flex is perfect for jibs and rails, plus the straps were super comfortable and I was really impressed with how they hugged my feet.”

Nidecker LT Supermatic Snowboard Bindings 2025-2026
PRICE: $479.95 / £419 / €449.95
SIZES: M, L, XL
FLEX: 8
ENTRY SYSTEM: Supermatic
NEW FOR 25/26 SEASON: Yes
Why we chose the Nidecker LT Supermatic:
The success of Supermatic is evident in its recent licensing to Bent Metal and Salomon, as well as the continual expansion of Nidecker’s own line. The new LT is a sleek evolution of their original game-changer and a welcome addition to the party.
Who is the Nidecker LT Supermatic for?
Experienced riders who want the fastest and most convenient entry system available but demand performance that matches traditional bindings. The LT bridges the gap between the base level OG Supermatic and the aggressive Carbon version, delivering enhanced response alongside upgraded straps and a stylish facelift.
Tech Talk
Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
The star of the show here is the new highback. The LT’s glass-infused nylon Ultraback provides increased lateral support and boasts ‘speed entry spines’ on the inside for smoother engagement. Its forward-lean adjuster is low-profile and tools-free. Nidecker have clearly been focusing on optimizing their whole boot/binding interface, and the LT’s lightweight ankle strap uses single-piece TPU construction with a smooth undersurface that helps your boot glide in effortlessly. LSR 2.0 buckles automatically lock your strap settings in both directions, while the enhanced 3D Hexo Toecap 2.0 can be flipped between feet for optimal boot compatibility. The Auto baseplate is the same chassis as the original model, made from nylon and fibreglass and featuring their trademark heel pedal for hands-free entry – just kick, click, go. The extra tech makes it a touch heavier than a standard baseplate but, in our opinion, fears around weight are overplayed – the LT Supermatic feels identical to classic two-straps once you’re locked in, and if anything the wider footprint improves power transfer.
Tester Verdict
Dave Crozier
“Like the iPod, the OG Supermatics paved the way for what came next – allowing a generation of people to really benefit from speed entry. And like Apple, Nidecker don’t overhaul its product year in year out. Instead, they focus on incremental improvements based on R&D to ensure that each new iteration – like the new LT – is a genuine step up. They look and feel less bulky than the OG version and literally feel better in your hands right out of the box. The new straps also improve the experience massively for precise riding. When I want to do a front blunt, 270 out, I KNOW I can be totally confident that the bindings will help put me exactly where I want to be on the rail. I will not go back to regular bindings now, I’ve fully accepted myself as a quick entry convert.”

Union Atlas Step On Snowboard Bindings 2025-2026
PRICE: £359 / €399 / $429
SIZES: S, M, L, XL
FLEX: 8
ENTRY SYSTEM: Step On
NEW FOR 25/26 SEASON: Yes
Why we chose the Union Atlas Step On:
Ever since we heard that Union would be following Flux and Nitro by licensing Burton’s step-in system, we were itching to see the results – and it doesn’t disappoint.
Who is the Union Atlas Step On for?
Looking beyond the obvious appeal these will have to anyone who wants more convenience and less time spent cranking ratchets, these tick all the right boxes for the rider who likes to split their time between the park and the peaks. They’ll still need a Step On compatible boot, though (available from either Burton or Nitro).
Tech Talk
Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
As you might expect, Union has ensured that the Atlas Step On contains lots of the brand’s signature tech, making it a true collab. The famous aluminium heelcup is present, of course, and there are hints of the standard Atlas here and there, but the highback and footbed have been tweaked to better align with the Step On system. The end result is something unmistakably Union, but with all the benefits of Burton’s clever clicky tech.
Tester Verdict
Pat Nichols
“The first step-ins from Union look great. The response is good, as is the build quality. Personally, I don’t have an interest in step-in bindings, but I can’t deny that they absolutely nailed the brief here.”

Drake Jade Women’s Snowboard Bindings 2025-2026
PRICE: €200
SIZES: S, M, L
FLEX: 5/10
ENTRY SYSTEM: Classic
NEW FOR 25/26 SEASON: Yes
Why we chose the Drake Jade:
Aimed at women looking for a more relaxed and easy-going binding, the Drake Jade proves that you don’t have to compromise on features and fit when looking for an excellent value binding.
Who is the Drake Jade for?
Thanks to its forgiving flex, the Drake Jade is ideal for ladies looking for a more relaxed ride. Those who aren’t too fussed about aggressive carving but rather cruising around the piste, hitting some park features and levelling up skills across the mountain.
Tech Talk
Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
Lightweight and versatile, the Jade uses Drake’s Delta Evo baseplate made with premium aluminium and infused with fibre-reinforced nylon to bolster durability. You’ll find great tweakability with the asymmetric highback, as well as solid edge-to-edge transitions. The updated buckles sit on malleable TPU straps that wrap around your boot to alleviate pressure points and hot spots over the foot.
Tester Verdict
Simona Silvestri
“A great all-round, all-mountain binding. If the RRP is the same as in previous years (under €200 a pair), this represents an absolute bargain. The build quality is great, and I found the buckles much easier to use than those on my (admittedly old) Burton bindings. The highback was nice and supportive, and the flex (5 out of 10) perfectly-suited the riding I was doing on the day I tested them — cruising round pistes with friends.”
Bataleon Blaster FASE Snowboard Bindings 2025-2026
PRICE: $379.95
SIZES: M/L, L/XL
FLEX: 6
ENTRY SYSTEM: FASE
NEW FOR 25/26 SEASON: Yes
Why we chose the Bataleon Blaster FASE:
Six years in development and the most revolutionary thing since, well, Supermatic and Step On, the FASE system promises to carve its own niche in the fast-growing speed-entry market – delivering (relatively) fast entry without sacrificing the look and feel of a traditional two-strap binding. Bataleon is one of several brands to have jumped on the bandwagon and the Blaster is their finest iteration.
Who is the Bataleon Blaster FASE for?
Riders tempted by convenience but who are not yet ready to trade their classic two-straps for a fully-automatic system. This multi-brand collaboration between Bataleon, Jones, Rome, and ThirtyTwo is a new twist on speed entry – offering one-handed operation while maintaining the locked-in feel that serious shredders demand.
Tech Talk
Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
The FASE system centers around three key innovations. The AutoBack automatically closes when you step in and opens for exit, while the Lock-in ToeStrap uses tri-toothed ladders to maintain position between rides (eagle-eyed riders will see parallels here with Supermatic’s LSR 2.0 buckles, and indeed FASE was born out of the same Nidecker brand group). Most cleverly, the FastStrap ankle system stays connected via an extended ladder for genuine one-handed operation. Bataleon’s AsymWrap aluminium frame enhances side-to-side flex while maintaining heel-to-toe power, supported by 3D AuxTech CradleStraps that eliminate pressure points. The 2-degree canted footbed and adjustable forward lean ensure this performs like a premium traditional binding once you’re locked in.
Tester Verdict
Ronan Thompson
I’ve ridden the Rome Katanas (which are based off the same baseplate as the Blasters) for a couple of seasons and I loved them. Super light, great support in the high back and I love the straps and the way they mould to your boot. After a couple of days on the Blasters, I actually think I prefer them. They’re just a little bit softer, but still with solid support in all the right places. It took a bit of time to set and get used to the FASE system, but once I had it dialled it was really impressive. It’s all about the back foot, you can sort it out so quickly and easily, even on the move.

Nidecker Carbon Supermatic Snowboard Bindings 2025-2026
PRICE: $529.95 / £519 / €549.95
SIZES: M, L, XL
FLEX: 10
ENTRY SYSTEM: Supermatic
NEW FOR 25/26 SEASON: No
Why we chose the Nidecker Carbon Supermatic:
The flagship of Nidecker’s Supermatic line takes the original game-changing convenience and supercharges it with carbon-infused construction for maximum response and bangin’ Lamborghini looks.
Who is the Nidecker Carbon Supermatic for?
Expert riders who demand the stiffest possible response in a speed-entry system. This is built for charging the steepest lines, hitting the biggest features, and riders who want premium lightweight straps without sacrificing an ounce of power transfer or edge control.
Tech Talk
Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
The Carbon Auto baseplate blends 30% carbon fibre with nylon for explosive edge-to-edge response while maintaining the same Drop IN heel pedal system that’s compatible with any boot. The highback is a stunning bit of design with carbon fibre incorporated throughout, including the forward-lean adjuster, which results in awesome heelside response. The Carbon Supermatic also boasts an upgraded Lycra-coated ankle strap for minimal weight and smooth entry, while the toe strap is a familiar AuxTech design that expands around your boot. The LSR 2.0 buckles feature (you guessed it) carbon-composite levers and automatically lock your preferred strap tension in both directions without the need to press a button like ye olden days.
Tester Verdict
Terry Hartley
“Not going to lie, first impression was why go through all this hassle. But once I figured out and got used to how the bindings worked, I really rated them and honestly think I’ll need to invest in a pair, and so should you if you like comfort, precision and the idea of not having to bend down to strap in every time. However, the stiffness might be a bit too much for what I’m looking for, so for an everyday rider like myself, I think the OG Nidecker Supermatic might be a better choice.”

Jones Mercury FASE Snowboard Bindings 2025-2026
PRICE: $359.95 / €349.95/ £304.95
SIZES: S, M, L
FLEX: 8
ENTRY SYSTEM: FASE
NEW FOR 25/26 SEASON: Yes
Why we chose the Jones Mercury FASE:
FASE is this year’s hottest release – a binding that matches traditional two-strap weight and performance while delivering genuinely useful fast-entry convenience. And lo! Jones have released one for the beardy freeriders!
Who is the Jones Mercury FASE for?
Hard chargers who’ve resisted quick-entry systems due to the slight weight penalty or just the fact they look a bit different can finally have their cake and eat it too. This multi-brand collaboration (with Bataleon, Rome, and ThirtyTwo) delivers the FASE system in Jones’s signature freeride package – offering proper all-mountain performance without the bulk typically associated with convenience bindings.
Tech Talk
Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
Jones’s execution of the FASE system maintains its commitment to lightweight, responsive construction. The Fusion XR baseplate blends four materials to enhance natural board flex while delivering uncompromising response, weighing just 1.8kg per pair – identical to traditional bindings. The AutoBack automatically closes around your boot, while the Lock-in ToeStrap with LSR 2.0 buckles stays positioned between rides. The FastStrap ankle system remains connected via extended ladders for genuine one-handed operation. Jones’s AsymFlex highback features an asymmetrical outline with an extended upper wing for enhanced turn initiation, while the DualFlex ankle strap combines a stiff TPU core with softer edges for responsive comfort.
Tester Verdict
Tristan Kennedy
“When I first took these out of the box, it took me a while to work out they had a rear entry system – they look and feel just like regular bindings and, crucially, they’re equally light. They really came into their own jumping on and off lots of short lifts, you appreciate the ease with which you can release your foot. Skating over flat bits became a doddle, and they passed the ultimate exam of any easy entry binding – the ‘can I put my back foot in while I’m already moving?’ test – with flying colours. I’d be happy to predict that within a few years, a ton of brands will be licensing this FASE system for their bindings.”

K2 Network Women’s Snowboard Bindings 2025-2026
PRICE: £255 / €295 / $330
SIZES: M, L
FLEX: 7/10
ENTRY SYSTEM: Classic
NEW FOR 25/26 SEASON: No
Why we chose the K2 Network:
A favourite of the K2 team and developed with input from Kennedi Deck, the Network blends playful freestyle features with rider-driven, all-day comfort.
Who is the K2 Network for?
Sitting on the stiffer end of the scale, the Network is a great option for those looking to up their game across a range of terrain. Refusing to be pigeonholed, the Network’s superior dampening is great for riders looking for the utmost in control and boardfeel, regardless of whether they’re tearing it up in the park, piste or beyond.
Tech Talk
Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
The Network isn’t the cheapest binding on the market, but it certainly doesn’t skimp when it comes to features that put the onus on comfort and adjustability. From the ground up, you’ll find K2’s vibration-dampening This Grips! Basepad to help suck up the chop and chatter sitting in the canted footbed to allow for even pressure distribution. Dial in the perfect fit with the lightweight straps and moveable heel cup and personalise the on-snow feel with the tool-less forward lean.
Tester Verdict

Bent Metal Lightning Supermatic Snowboard Bindings 2025-2026
PRICE: £399 / €449 / $479
SIZES: S, M, L
FLEX: 8
ENTRY SYSTEM: Supermatic
NEW FOR 25/26 SEASON: Yes
Why we chose the Bent Metal Lightning Supermatic:
A binding-maker with an impeccable reputation has adopted arguably the world’s leading quick-entry system – surely that’s that question well and truly answered…?
Who is the Bent Metal Lightning Supermatic for?
Anyone who wants to spend more time riding and less time buckling up should be looking at the Supermatic system. If you’re particular about your highback lean, then there’s still no adjustment system as simple and effective as Bent Metal’s. The combination is the magic ‘convenience without compromise’ recipe at its finest.
Tech Talk
Baseplate, straps, highback, construction materials, step-in system and features
This step-in system is too easy: just push your foot in under the straps and hey presto, your highback snaps up and into place. Pull the lever on the side, and you’re out. Unlike most Bent Metals, there’s no ‘Drive Plate’ footbed in this one – in its place is one that prioritises frictionless entry and exit – but once you’re locked in, expect a sturdy workhorse of a similar flavour to the conventionally-strapped Transfer.
Tester Verdict
Kevin Frank
“The step-in system feels smooth, and entry is super easy. Getting out of them is a bit harder; I didn’t necessarily feel like they were any easier than getting out of a traditional strap binding. They are quite a responsive binding, and I honestly would have liked to get a bit more flex out of them, but they felt solid. Simply put, these were not for me, but I absolutely think they are a great binding for people looking for a step-in setup without the need for step-in specific boots.”
