“A high-quality, hard-wearing shell pant. The pockets in particular are really nice with a good quality zip. They’re placed well on the pant to keep everything locked in place without feeling like it’s pressing your keys into your thigh.
As far as the fit goes, they have a straighter fit than the ultra bag style of recent winters, but aren’t quite back into the skinny realm and so have a pretty great “mass appeal”. I’d honestly recommend them for pretty much anyone looking for some quality pants!”

“I tested this product in the Smokey pink colorblock. This is a very feminine colorway, but the bagginess counters it, giving it a stylish vibe. The color is very light and is for people who are good at keeping things clean. I find an anorak very uncomfortable, but it did have an easy entry with the full zip on the side. The kangaroo pouch gives loads of storage as well as two zip pockets. I wish the pass pouch were zippered, not Velcro. Big wrist cuffs made it easy to put mitts off and on.”

Similarly, the cuffs can be cinched so you can choose to go full boot cut or draw them in for a track pant fit.
15K waterproofing with additional DWR coating ain’t to be sniffed at either, as well as the durable ripstop fabric and 2-layer construction to keep them from ripping as you’re ripping. No fuss, no frills, just a solid pair of pants at a reasonable price.

“This is a simple, high-quality shell jacket that backs it up with great aesthetics and tech. It’s (I think) ripstop material, so it feels super hard-wearing and definitely durable. It’s comfortable, has plenty of external pockets (but no internal), and the Velcro and zips are TOUGH; once that Velcro is patted down, it takes some strength to open, so you know it’s gonna be good for a full season of snow. Everything is designed well to stay locked in as soon as you start riding.
If I had to request one thing, it would be some kind of wrist gaiter. Even just a simple thumb hook over the glove to keep it all locked in place when you take a tumble. It also looks fresh: 5 compliments on the first run is a solid ratio! Highly recommend!”

It’s Beyond Medals, so of course the fit is a little boxier and baggier, but don’t take that to mean it’s basic. Any jacket worth its salt has to be able to stand up to a season of hard graft, be that unpleasant weather, temperature changes over the months or day-to-day wear and tear, and Beyond Medals have dug into their arsenal to fit the bill.
They’ve cleverly laid out the internal insulation to offer double as much where you need it most, but the new addition of underarm vents allows you to effectively slough off excess heat when the weather gets a lil spicy. The 2-layer fabric not only has a slight stretch to allow for easy movement, but also is finished with a PFC-free DWR coating for additional weather-proofing and uses a crosshatch pattern for increased durability.
