Construction and Materials
Like many a freestyle-specific deck, the Jones Tweaker features a 100% poplar core and biax fibreglass. This winning combination can withstand a season’s worth of abuse in the park, but doesn’t make the board too heavy or rigid.
The only additives of note are the stringers that transfer energy from the bindings to the edges. While these are often made of carbon, Jones uses its bespoke blend of naturally-occuring materials (flax and basalt) to improve response with minimal impact on the environment.
It racks up more eco-points elsewhere, thanks to the topsheet made from beans, the edges made entirely from recycled steel, and the Wend natural wax that slickens up the rapid sintered base. This is all par for the course for Jones, so if you’ve been looking for a new park stick but haven’t yet found anything green enough for your liking, your time has come.

Roundup
This is an area of board design with more limitations than what you can get up to with a powder shape, but it’s good to see that Jones has squeezed every last drop of innovation and quality from the concept – most of which make it ideal for taking to other parts of the mountain, too. Jeremy Jones says this is no regular park board, and we’re inclined to agree.
Pros:
- Camber! Glorious, uncompromising camber
- Park closed? No worries – this can go anywhere
Cons:
- The unique combination of the outline and the 3D shape will take some getting used to for regular popsicle-stick riders
Trade Secrets
Seth Lightcap – Nidecker Group
“Truth be told, the Tweaker has been a secret project in the works for a few seasons. A true twin may seem like an odd addition to the Jones line, but that’s exactly why we took our time and made a super sick one! Not only do we have a bunch of team riders who love to ride true twins, we also have some next level board tech that allowed us to make a true twin unlike anything else out there. The special sauce that sets the Tweaker apart is the V-Core profiling of the wood core, and the double radius tip profile. The wood core is softer between the feet for a buttery board feel, and the tip and tail are stiffer for supreme stompability. The unique tip profile has a progressive radius profile that kicks up slowly at first, then gets steeper at the very end. The double radius maximizes the running length while delivering more float than expected of such a blunted shape. You can twist the Tweaker and press into butters without worrying about folding the tips. It’s an insanely fun freestyle board that can charge the whole mountain – a claim we don’t take lightly!”
