Jones Snowboards was founded by backcountry boss Jeremy Jones in 2010 after his split from long-time sponsor Rossignol. Jones ethos is very much one of sustainability and corporate responsibility, and the brand has been partnered with 1% for the Planet since 2015, and pledge to give 1% of their sales directly to sustainability-oriented non-profits.
Jones have been going from strength to strength since their conception and win numerous awards each year for their products. Boards like the Flagship and Hovercraft are now some of the most popular boards on the mountain, and for good reason.
Jones are well known for their splitboard fleet and are leading the charge on women’s and kid’s specific backcountry gear. All their boards are built with the needs of the backcountry mountaineer factored in at every stage, meaning the boards are designed for the stresses of chutes, gulley’s and ravines. The Jones team of pro riders are fanatical about testing the boards and constantly funnelling feedback into the company, and as such they are constantly innovating and updating their selection.
More recently, Jones have come out with their line of backcountry accessories. Being such a grizzled mountain man himself, Jeremy knows exactly how to make the perfect tools for safety off the beaten track Their shovels, probes and backpacks are all designed with durability, practicality and weight saving in mind.
Jones have also released their own bindings, working with NOW create the Apollo and the Mercury. Utilising NOW’s skate-tech with a unique Jones twist, they’ve come up with the binding to sit perfectly on any of the Jones range.
Jones have been working with legendary surf shaper Chis Christenson to create Jones’ Surf Series. A range of boards designed with alternative mountain shredding in mind. Inspired by the shapes and the feel of surfboards, this line of ripsticks have really made waves through the industry.
