The Burton Talent Scout, a favourite amongst many female riders, including none other than Anna Gasser – the lady who’s won more medals than we’ve had hot meals. Sure, you might not be stomping triple corks anytime soon but this board has the potential to do precisely that (if you’re that way inclined).
With so many women’s boards on the market featuring a hybrid profile, it’s cool to see that the Talent Scout remains true to its classic camber profile. The camber combined with a true-twin shape makes this board a solid choice for any rider who’s already got a bit of a feeling for riding park.
“The Talent Scout is a heavy hitting board, made to handle the biggest features in the park”

Ideally, you wouldn’t want anything too heavy attached to your feet while riding freestyle. That being said, you still want something that’s stable enough to prevent you from wobbling around the pistes. With the Talent Scout’s core belonging to the lighter range of Burton’s Women’s boards, and having the Triax fiberglass added to it, the Talent Scout makes for a light stable ride. The triax fiberglass provides for a better balance of torsional stiffness and thus makes it easier to handle the board.
With a mid-flex and off-axis squeezebox profile, this board gives you consistent snap while making sure you’ll feel perfectly balanced when riding in the duck-like freestyle stance. The frostbite edges here also help to make sure that you can really rail your turns and count on them to stay solid.
The Talent Scout is a heavy hitting board, made to handle the biggest features in the park. Worth saying that a beginner might not appreciate all of the qualities this board has to offer as much as an intermediate or advanced rider. The Talent Scout is a strong contender for chicks who want to rip up the park but not be pigeon holed by their board.
