The Jones Nomad Pro Skins are all about grip ’n’ glide. Although not ideal, most splitboard enthusiasts will probably get away with a bent pair of poles, a dried-out base, or a temperamental binding buckle for a day in the backcountry. There’s a blend of 70% mohair and 30% synthetic nylon within the skins. The higher mohair density keeps the skins gliding effectively, while the nylon works to repel wetter snow and keeps the skin drier, for longer. Providing you’re not the kind of splitboarder who dons the lycra for the dawn patrol, you’ll get on well with these.
