Backcountry badass Eric Jackson is the subject of the third mini-movie from Adidas Snowboarding, who are welcoming each of their team in turn with one of these edits.
E-Jack (as he is known) grew up in the parks of Mammoth and quickly turned pro alongside his older brother John Jackson. But while the two of them filmed for Standard together, for years Eric laboured slightly in John’s shadow.
The dreadlocked Jackson earned a place on the Forum team and several epic ender parts, as well as a starring role in The Art of Flight raising his profile massively. All that changed though when Eric’s talent and work ethic finally paid off with an epic video part in People Films’ Good Look. It earned him Transworld’s coveted Rider of the Year and Video Part of the Year awards in January 2012, and paved the way to snowboard stardom on a serious scale.
Despite having shaved his trademark beard off recently, Eric is now more recognisable than ever, and if he keeps riding like this, will continue to be.
These Adidas mini-movies have previously covered Jake Blauvelt and Forest Bailey, so we can look forward to edits on Keegan Valaika, Kazu Kokubo and Helen Schettini in the near future.
