Few brands are as recognisable as Adidas and their famous three stripes. Formed by Adolf Dassler in 1949, Adidas have been a globally renowned sports brand for decades. In 2012 after much hype they announced they were venturing into the world of snowboarding by revealing a team of heavy hitting pro riders.
The Adidas team is made up of riders who are pushing the boundaries of their respective styles. Powder hounds Jake Blauvelt and Eric Jackson represent in the deep stuff and Helen Schettini keeps it real for the girls. Forest Bailey and Keegan Valaika hold it down on the streets, whilst everyone’s favourite half pipe rider Kazu Kokubu sends it in the park. With a team like this Adidas are going right up there against the big brands and are certainly set to make an impression when their product launches this winter.
So far there’s little info about Adidas product out there, but what we have seen looks fresh and has that classic Adidas styling. Boots, goggles and outerwear are three of the main products Adidas will be launching. Jake Blauvelt has a pro model boot and an après boot so you can rock the Adidas street style whilst partying off of the slopes.
With a record of making top quality product for sports throughout history, Adidas has always been up there leading the way in innovation and design. Expect big things from Adidas in regards to their snowboarding gear; the big rumour on the block is that Adidas stands for all day I dream about snowboarding…
