Why We Chose The GoPro Hero 12 Black Action Camera: The household-name action cam continues to earn its place at the top of the tree, and is now more snowboarder-friendly than ever.
Upon its release in September of this year, the GoPro Hero 12 Black raised a few eyebrows for not looking all that different to its predecessor, or indeed offering a boost in image quality. It tops out at 60 frames per second on the highest resolution (5.3K) in certain aspect ratios, with good ol’ 4K available at 120fps. For super-slo-mo (240fps) you can capture at 2.7k, and stills come in at 27 megapixels.

Much of a muchness with the Hero 11, then – but those are still some cracking specs, and there’s enough going on elsewhere to make the latest GoPro once again the action camera to beat.
Who Is The GoPro Hero 12 Black Action Camera For?
While there are plenty of nerd-level bells and whistles on this one, GoPro’s Hero range is certainly not just for those with existing camera skills. A quick play is all it takes to get the main functions down, making it as accessible as they come. Of course, the more you experiment with it, the better your edits will get!
