Who Are The 686 Hyperchromic Hoody and Pants For?

Everyone who values comfort and tech, while appreciating something out of the ordinary will find the 686 Hyperchromic Waterproof Hoody and Track Pants to be a great addition to their riding locker. If you’re looking for something to wear underneath an outer layer, something to kick back in or something to rock on its own on a sunny spring day in the park, these are for you.

Materials and Construction

Made from a 3L bonded two-way stretch fabric with a polyester fleece backing for added comfort, the Hyperchromic Hoody does a great job at keeping the wetweather at bay. Both parts of the outfit feature a 10K waterproof rating that’s been finished with a DWR coating. By using softshell material, which is quite forgiving and stretchy, comfort is also high up on the list of priorities here.

As both the top and bottom come in a shell construction (meaning there’s no extra insulation), there’s no risk of overheating. However, if things do get a bit too toasty, the airflow vents provide for a nice little extra breeze.

Features

So, what’s the change in the pattern all about then? When the temperature drops below 15° Celsius a mountain pattern appears on the fabric. And, once the temperatures rise above that, the pattern disappears.

The hoody is designed with a side seam zip for easy access, while the inner thumb grips help the sleeves from riding up your forearm. Another great plus is the zippered kangaroo pouch pocket, perfect for stashing any items you want quick access to.

There’s also an external waist adjustment and a lift ticket eyelet on the belt loop to help keep your pass safe.
