There’s no need to gild the lily; if you’re Burton, and you’ve managed to make a pair of high quality Gore-Tex snowboard glove, then why not just call them the Burton Gore-Tex snowboard gloves?
The best thing about these is that they’re essentially three pairs in one, thanks to the removable fleece liner. You can wear just those in certain conditions, or combine it with the outer shell for a seriously warm option. Should you want something light yet waterproof, then just the shell will do.
If you opt for the latter, a built-in lining does a great job of wicking moisture away from your hands, so the Burton Gore-Tex gloves won’t be overkill in spring conditions. And obviously, they’ve got a Gore-Tex membrane, which is amazingly waterproof and breathable. Still too warm? The zip pocket on the back of each hand can be used for extra venting.

Naturally, though, these are most at home in colder weather, when you can use that same pocket to stash a handwarmer. It shouldn’t come to that unless it’s really cold thanks to the Thermacore insulation, and a combination of liner and shell usually tends to retain heat better than integrated gloves.
The palm and all five fingertips are fully touchscreen-compatible. The palm is extra grippy too, so whether you’re gripping your splitboard pole or boning the hell out of a grab, you’re sorted.
