Welcome to the biggest buyer’s guide in snowboarding

Throughout last winter we got our hands on as many snowboard products as possible – over 500 in the end – to ensure our 2017/18 Snowboard Buyer’s Guide is the best yet.

Every snowboard, binding and goggle has been thoroughly tested on the mountain by our experienced Test Team, who provide an in-depth verdict on each model’s strengths and weaknesses.

We’ve also shone the spotlight on key boots, outerwear, apparel and accessories that all have the potential to improve your riding, increase your comfort, and turn good days into great ones. Covering all styles, ability levels and budgets, there’s truly something for everyone here.

For those new to snowboarding and still a bit baffled by the spiel, The Snowboard Workshop is the place to go. If you don’t know your camber from rocker or Magne-Traction from Squeezebox, this can help you figure it out and avoid the usual first-time-buyer pitfalls.

Not sure where to begin? The Whitelines 100 would be a good place. Out of everything we got our hands on, we narrowed it down to the very best of the best, and you’ll find them all here. We’ve looked at all 100 products in even greater detail, leaving you in no doubt as to why it’s made the cut.

Whatever you’re looking for, we’ll bet the farm that you’ll find it here.

We’ve selected the 100 hottest snowboard products out of the 2017/18 Buyers Guide.

Snowboards

It doesn’t matter if you’re looking to add to your quiver, or are a one-board-to-rule-them-all kind of rider; you’ll find your next deck here. To help you pick the right foundation for your riding, our experienced Test Team has thoroughly reviewed every snowboard in this guide.

Bindings

Selecting the right board and boot is crucial, but overlook the interface between the two at your peril. Bindings vary more than ever, with new materials being used each year to ramp up your ride. Whatever your riding style, you’ll find that it’s well catered for here.

Boots

How a boot feels is purely subjective, but there’s a lot that can be learned about a particular model by getting your hands on it and checking out its features. We’ve examined some of the best new boots for 2017/18, as well as plenty of long-serving classics – check them all out here.

Outerwear

There’s so much outerwear out there, but this selection is a great jumping-off point for finding your next jacket and pants. We’ve covered the full gamut of styles, from low-spec coach’s jackets to durable Alaska-ready fare, so whatever you need can be found right here.

Apparel

Goggle tech continues to leap forward, and keeping up can be difficult. That’s why our Test Team has provided in-depth reviews on all the ones in our guide, so you’ll know before buying how each one performed. If you’re after new gloves, mitts or a helmet, they’re all in here too.

Accessories

Here’s the best of the rest; we’ve gathered together more action cameras, backcountry kit, headphones, beanies, socks and other various bits ‘n’ pieces than ever before, as well as the bags you’ll need to carry everything to the mountains. With so much to see, the best thing is just to dive in.
