UPDATE: Check out the best Burton snowboards for 2107/18 here
Almost 40 years since starting out in Vermont, Burton has grown into comfortably the biggest snowboard company in the world. Still owned by husband-and-wife team of Jake & Donna Carpenter, their range of boards is the biggest around, with every kind of rider – from Mark McMorris and Kelly Clark down to the humble holidaymaker – catered for.
As well as decades of experience from which to mine, they now have a bespoke R&D facility next to their head office in Burlington. The staff at Craig’s (named after late snowboard legend and Burton rider Craig Kelly) crank out experimental decks in search of the next big revolution in snowboard design.
Here are the best Burton snowboards, all given the thumbs up by our testers for 2015/16 – no matter what kind of rider you are, there’s definitely one that’ll suit you.
