They say: The ultimate in urban and rail riding.
We say: The ‘Gullwing’ profile on this board lifts the contact points, making it harder to catch an edge on a rail. The cambered section means it’s not the easiest to press, but it’s more versatile than a lot of jib sticks. It’s cheap too!
Tester says: Very stable at speed for such a soft board and turns beautifully.

About Nitro

  • Building boards since: 1990
  • HQ: Seattle, WA, USA
  • History lesson: Nitro was kick-started in Seattle in 1990, emerging kicking and screaming slap bang in the middle of the Grunge explosion that would make the city famous. While Kurt Cobain and co screamed their disapproval with the status quo up on stage, Nitro channeled the same spirit onto their boards. To this day the brand is known for its dark graphics – often featuring skulls – and its love of Iron Maiden’s favourite font.
  • Ridden by: Scandinavian black metal bands on their days off, skate-punks who throw the horns any time they think something’s even remotely cool, and long-haired dudes who wear chains.
