They say: Envi is short for Environmental.
We say: This is built using Mervin’s bio-plastic top-sheet, made from beans! And it’s designed for the kind of free-spirited, hippy-ish freeride chick that’ll appreciate such a touch. Too stiff for jibbing, but spot on for powder and piste charging.
Tester says: Nice and stiff and held an edge beautifully. Great for cruising.

About Roxy
- Building boards since: 2003
- HQ: Sequim, WA, USA
- History lesson: Roxy has only been building boards for a few years, but has already made a considerable splash. The orignial women’s surf brand, it was founded as an offshoot of Quiksilver in 1990. It had already been producing technical outerwear for a few seasons when its parent company bought Mike Olson’s Mervin factory near Seattle. With access to the facilities where legendary snowboard lines Gnu and Lib Tech were built, Roxy decided to seize the opportunity to launch its own series of boards in 2003 – the first all-girls line ever built.
- Ridden by: Well girls, obviously. But generally a particular kind of girl as well – the kind who can shred with the best of them but still takes care to match her lipstick with her gloves.
