It was red faces all round for GoPro at the end of last year, when they were forced to recall the GoPro Karma drone after problems arose with its operation. Full refunds were offered, rather than replacements, suggesting that it’d be a while before the Karma returned to the air.
However, just a couple of months later, GoPro’s drone is back – and this time, they reckon they’ve got it right. Look out for Jamie Anderson, testing out the stabiliser while filming for the Full Moon movie, among the examples of Karma use in the video above.
The market is still pretty competitive, even with the cancellation of the Lily, so there’s certainly no more room for slip-ups. Will GoPro can have as big a hit with their drone as they have had with their action cameras? Watch this space.
