Dragon X Asymbol Collection 2017-2018

Signature snowboard goggles from Iguchi, Lynn and more

It should come as no surprise that a lot of the folk involved in Travis Rice’s Asymbol project have deep roots in snowboarding as well as art. The latest of their many partnerships with shred brands is this fresh take on three of Dragon‘s best-loved goggles.

The series features four artists; legendary American riders Jamie Lynn and Bryan Iguchi, English artist and longtime Dragon collaborator Schoph, and Swiss mountain landscape specialist Iuna Tinta.

The new designs took their bow at the HMNNTR Art Show in London a couple weeks back, and they’re now available to buy. We’ve taken a closer look at all eight designs, and you can check them out below.

Dragon D1 Snowboard Goggles 2017-2018

We love the Dragon D1, and it was an easy choice for this year’s Whitelines 100. It’s a quality model that doesn’t break the bank, and boasts a chunky frame that still has a place amongst all the ‘frameless’ developments.

All four artists involved in this collab have had a crack at their own version; take a look below to see which one gets your vote.

Dragon NFX2 Snowboard Goggles 2017-2018

Next up is the just-about-frameless NFX2, which must surely rank among the most popular cylindrical goggles of all time. Throw a rock in a resort and you’ll probably hit someone wearing a pair. Just try not to scratch the lens.

There are quite a few colourways available, but these limited edition versions will ensure you’ve got the best-looking pair on the mountain. Schoph and Guch have done the honours for the NFX2, so if you like what they did with the D1 but aren’t a fan of the big frame look, here’s the ideal alternative.

Dragon X2s Snowboard Goggles 2017-2018

Meanwhile Jamie and Iuna have daubed on this, the scaled-down version of the Dragon X2.

The clean, sleek lines of a frameless design with a spherical lens is a winning combination, made even better by having a banging mountain view on the strap.
