They say: Stricken with a violent addiction to freestyle progression.
We say: K2’s rail rider benefits form their ‘Jib Rocker’ profile, which lifts the contact points for catch-free urban shredding. It’s got a cheap extruded base, but that means it’s tougher than a lot of sticks.
Tester says: You will see tons of these in indoor slopes but also great for the rider wanting a playful board for the side of the piste.

About K2
- Building boards since: 1987
- HQ: Seattle, WA, USA
- History lesson: Founded as a ski company in 1961 by brothers Bill and Don Kirschner, K2 has been making snowboards longer than many board-specific brands. Despite this, it a while for K2 to live down its image as a commercially-driven ski-shark among snowboarding minnows. In the end though, the brand’s obvious commitment to snowboarding over the years, combined with its reputation for quality, has helped change even the most gnarled shredder’s minds.
- Ridden by: People looking for a brand that’ll let them ride whatever and wherever they want without being laughed at by anyone. Technically good, if slightly anonymous riders.
