They say: The pinnacle of 23 years of product development.
We say: This is a pretty damn special board – but then it ought to be at that price. Having said that, the flatline profile, the super-light core, the harshmellow dampening system and all the other tech make it well worth it.
Tester says: Stiff flex makes carving a dream. Super stable at speed.

- Building boards since: 1987
- HQ: Seattle, WA, USA
- History lesson: Founded as a ski company in 1961 by brothers Bill and Don Kirschner, K2 has been making snowboards longer than many board-specific brands. Despite this, it a while for K2 to live down its image as a commercially-driven ski-shark among snowboarding minnows. In the end though, the brand’s obvious commitment to snowboarding over the years, combined with its reputation for quality, has helped change even the most gnarled shredder’s minds.
- Ridden by: People looking for a brand that’ll let them ride whatever and wherever they want without being laughed at by anyone. Technically good, if slightly anonymous riders.
