Countdown of the Decade – Part Seven

http://mpora.com/videos/6kIVtXjl5 The seventh part of our Countdown of the Decade takes us through to 2006, when Forum Snowboards released the first official Forum team film since 2001’s incredible offering True Life. That, as they ambitiously called the film, didn’t disappoint, with impressive sections from Pat Moore and Stevie Bell, and a closing section which saw JP Walker hit some of the best form of his career. The film also introduced the talents of Jake Blauvelt to the world.

However, the part we’ve decided to pick out is the opener, by Travis Kennedy. Not only does this show the man slaying rails and kickers in a way that very few people can, but it’s also one of the most over the top examples of the Yo style of riding we could think of. By 2006, this gangsta steeze had been taken to its illogical conclusion, as this section – with all its “Ghetto Natonal Anthem” soundtrack and shotgun impressions – ably demonstrates. After six plus years of parts like this, the question was could shit get any more G? Surely something had to give…
