The boys at Nonstop, a company which offers snowboard instructor courses in Canada, have hit us up to let us know about the launch of a brand new freestyle improvement course in Banff.
The idea of the new course is to help you improve your freestyle skills in the space of two weeks, but this isn’t just a course for park rats. Nonstop have taken the idea of freestyle in its broader sense, and as well as park sessions, the boys will be teaching people how to jib about on the piste, and make the most of the natural features the mountains have to offer.
Nonstop have been running instructor courses and Cat Boarding trips in the Western Canada for around eight years, so they know the powder mecca better than most. a href=”https://storage.googleapis.com/fm-coresites-assets/whitelines_new/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Adam-Bertsch-battleship.jpg”>They even featured in Whitelines a couple of seasons ago when our then ads man Pete wrote an article about learning to teach with them. < So if they've singled out Banff as the best place to expand their operations, there's probably a good reason for it. The Alberta resort is not only renowned as a bit of a party town, but also offers access to three of the finest ski areas in North America - Norquay, Lake Louise and Sunshine Valley. To celebrate the launch of the new course, Nonstop are giving away a pretty impressive prize - they're offering one lucky winner the chance to do a whole season in Canada. The winner will get the chance to do an 11-week long instructor course, staying at one of their lodges, and - most importantly - riding every day. Have a look here to find out how to enter.
