As someone who was born and bred in the Finnish capital, you can only imagine my excitement when Salomon Snowboards announced they were dropping a film called ‘Teamwork: Helsinki’. My expectations for the film were as follows:
- Hefty consumption of overpriced alcoholic beverages
- Darkness
- A lot of sick riding spots on the urban streets of Helsinki

Yes, yes and YES! This is a picture-perfect reflection of what snowboarding in Helsinki is about. First of all, the rails are gnarly AF – and there’s a lot of them. They also vary massively leaving us to believe that whoever’s responsible for the city’s architecture must have at least to some extent been exposed to snowboarding at one point in their life.
