Young Hemel Hempstead local Jake Terry hit us up recently to let us know that he’s picked up some new sponsors. Jake, who only started secondary school this year, has been honing his skills at the regular Snow Centre Park & Ride Freestyle nights, and has caught the eye of several brand’s talent scouts.
Jake has been hooked up by DC boots and outerwear, and Flow boards and bindings. The boys at Flow said of the 11-year-old: “We’re absolutely stoked with our association with Jake on what for us in the UK is a brand new Flow team.
“We’re confident that Jake’s got a really good chance to develop into a quality pro if he so chooses and Flow’s delighted to help him take those first steps towards shredding the World!”
James Stentiford, the experienced pro who manages the DC UK team added: We’re stoked to welcome Jake Terry to the team and look forward helping him develop as a rider and making all his snowboarding dreams come true.”
Jake will also be riding for Electric goggles, and is currently supported by the Snow Centre, Conspiracy Board Store, Buff Headwear and Chuck Buddies. With the help of his sponsors, he’ll be heading out to ride as a junior in the Burton European Open, and he’ll also be competing in the junior categories at this year’s Brits.
Nice one on the hook-ups Jake, we’ll look forward to seeing you ripping out on the hill!
