UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2019/2020 Salomon Huck Knife here
Last winter it felt like we couldn’t move for Huck Knifes (or is that Huck Knives…?). Its colour-bar topsheet always managed to catch our eye – more often than not in the park, found under the feet of someone having the time of their life.
Seriously, it was everywhere, which is pretty impressive for a model that’s only been around for two seasons. Get used to it though, because the third incarnation of the Salomon Huck Knife snowboard is set to cement its reputation further still.
“The rocker sections at the nose and tail are very short, but they’re not anonymous”

Clearly recognising that they’re on to a good thing, the folk at Salomon haven’t done much tinkering for 2018/19. One difference we did notice is that, instead of full triax, the new Huck Knife has a mixture of triax and biax. It’s a subtle difference, but one that, if anything, makes it more accessible to intermediate riders with park on their minds.
That being said, it still ticks every box for the more accomplished freestyler. The profile features a unique camber bend that’s mellower in the middle, and more significant towards each end. When applied properly, the Huck Knife will pop to the moon.
