Travis Kennedy joins Technine Snowboards

And so it has come to pass that what Whitelines reported as a rumour way back in our October issue has actually happened – Travis Kennedy has officially joined Technine Snowboards.

Of course, while we’re obviously happy that our prophecy has been fulfilled, we’re going to resist the temptation to gloat and instead breath a huge sigh of relief. When Travis parted ways with Forum, we were told he had decided to quit snowboarding altogether to concentrate on his shockingly shite rap music (which you can listen to here – if you dare). Thankfully, it appears this is not the case.

Travis, whose gangsta steeze makes him an obvious fit for the Technine team, is an immensely talented all round rider, as this part from Forum’ film That shows. Technine founder and phtographer E-Stone is hyped to have persuaded Travis to keep doing what he does best. He said: “I can’t wait to shoot photos of T.K. out in the backcountry this year.”

“Kids think Travis is this crazy jibber but the truth is he is super well-rounded and destroys the backcountry as well as the streets. I have been a fan of Travis Kennedy for years! I can’t wait to see what he pulls off with a Technine under his feet.” Travis will be rocking the company’s boards, bindings and outerwear, joining a team that features the likes of Mark Frank Montoya, Lucas Magoon and Dylan Thompson.

Travis also appears to be stoked with the new hook-up, saying: “It feels good to get a fresh start with a company that is my style 100 percent. I back everything about Technine and now they have my back in return. I’m ready to work hard and kill it with one of the sickest crews in snowboarding.”

We’re just happy we won’t have listen to him rapping too much more.
