JP Solberg in Transcendence

This is one of the sickest snowboard film parts ever, and one of the ones that helped cement the reputation of the then-tiny outfit Absinthe Films. This part, which is taken from their 2001 movie Transcendence, also broke JP Solberg on the international scene, turning him into a superstar at the tender age of 17. From the riding, to the music, to the randomness of that fuckin’ bunny suit, it’s just all-round awesome, and well, well worth four and a half minutes of your time.

People still rave about this section nearly a decade later. As JP himself says in his interview in the latest issue of Whitelines “Even just yesterday someone came up to me and was like: ‘Duuuuuuude! You changed the way I look at snowboarding with that video part!'” – It’s that kind of good.
