In honour of their late founder, Burton has released The Jake Burton Carpenter Shinola Gift Set as a tribute to all the things the great man contributed to the world of snowboarding. Made in collaboration with Jake’s family, as well as many close friends, the set includes a limited edition Shinola Duck watch, a replica of Jake’s first production board, a deluxe cooler bag, and a hardcover coffee table book titled 13: The Story of Jake Burton Carpenter. Speaking about the project and how it helped the family cope with their loss, Jake’s wife Donna had this to say: “We were all deep in the grieving process, so working on this together was cathartic and helped us stay close to Jake. The end result is a true reflection of Jake’s passion, creative spirit and pure love of life.”

Jake was great friends with Shinola founder Tom Kartsotis, so it is only fitting that Burton and the Detroit watch brand came together in this new tribute gift set. The Duck watch is crafted from stainless steel and an extra thick sapphire crystal, meaning it can take whatever you throw at it.
