Following Zoi Sadowski-Synnott’s first Olympic gold, the men’s slopestyle qualifiers threw some pretty interesting curveballs, with China’s Su Yiming putting down the run of his life to qualify ahead of Mark McMorris, as well as some of the global heavy hitters missing out on the top 12.

Many of the big-hitting names with high expectations, including Marcus Kleveland, Rene Rinnekangas, Dusty Henricksen and Tiarn Collins failed to make the cut, while some of the outside bets, like Emiliano Lauzi and Kaito Hamada, put down solid runs to push some of the higher-ranked riders outside the top 12.
