Some pretty big news for the UK scene today as it is officially announced that Freeze Festival will be returning to London after a hiatus last year, this time bringing the excitement of an international Big Air qualifier to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, a potentially great use of one of London’s newest sports facilities.
It will count as a stop on the FIS Snowboard World Cup (cue rage-induced keyboard mashing) and will also feature a freeski invitational event – so we’ll get to see the likes of Woodsy throwing down alongside the likes of Billy Morgan, Jenny Jones and Jamie Nicholls. There’s no official line up yet, but as the Olympics will now be featuring a FIS-controlled big air event there’s likely to be a tasty selection of international stars cropping up next to the UK talent.
The event is scheduled to be held on the 14th November – check back here and on the official Freeze site for more info soon!
