Breckenridge rookie Eric Willett is the newest edition to the Quiksliver Snow Team going into the 2010/11 season. Willett, 22 said, “Everything Quiksilver makes is sick! I remember when I was younger and seeing Quiksilver outerwear and thinking it was the raddest stuff.
“And they’ve got some of the best riders on their team. I’m stoked be a part of it!”
You might of heard Willett’s name about recently as he has slammed onto the scene as the one-to-watch, winning silver at last years Winter X Games followed by a shiney gold medal at the European X Games. This is to name but a few other podium wins. Willett’s smooth style and pocket full of double corked tricks mixed into slopestyle runs makes him a leading contender in big air contests.
Willett joins other member of the Quiksilver crew Travis Rice, Todd Richards, Bryan Fox, Hampus Mosesson and Mathieu Crepel.
Quiksilver’s Snow Brand Manager, Oren Tanzer said,“I am so excited to have a young ripper like Eric join us at Quiksilver going into this winter. Style is something you just can’t teach and it is oozing out of Eric.”
This season Willett is fired up for a contest season with stops in every corner of the globe. He’ll be dropping into all of the Dew Tours, as well as both the US and European X Games, Beijing Air & Style and the Arctic Challenge among others. Look out as Willett blends a bunch of different double corks into his slopestyle run with smooth, stylish jibs and maybe a few, as Willett would say, “good ol’ laid out backflips.”
