We knew this one was in the works, but to be honest we thought either Shaun White or Ayumu Hirano would be the one to nail it. Not so, as yesterday Yiwei Zhang from China became the first ever rider to put down a triple cork in a halfpipe by landing this cab triple in Mammoth.
This comes just days after freeskier David Wise lambasted Billy Morgan and Max Parrot for even attempting quads and saying that he could totally do a pipe triple, he just didn’t want to.
