Take a couple of minutes to try and think of a rider who is more creative, innovative and consistent than Scotty Stevens. It’s nigh on impossible. Capita needed to create a board to keep up with his sickeningly stylish riding and his limitless idea bank. If your little cruiser is looking to up their game, whether it’s park-based playing or partying on piste the Scott Stevens Mini is a mountain maverick built for progression and non-stop good times.

“When you’re trying to lock down those rad rail manoeuvres you’ll get a little helping hand from the uplifts so you’ll be confidently jibbing in no time”

The mostly flat base is gonna have Junior feeling super solid and stable whilst cruising piste and ripping up groomers. It’ll also be rock solid when progressing up to boxes, and the rockered tip and tail will leave you with a catch free, easy going feel. So when you’re trying to lock down those rad rail manoeuvres you’ll get a little helping hand from the uplifts so you’ll be confidently jibbing in no time.

When you’re pressing and buttering around like old Sleepy, you’ll want to have a softer flex, especially in the tip and tail and that’s what Capita have delivered. Simply shift your weight over the tail and you’ll be wheelie-ing into the sunset.

Generally speaking, we try to avoid the rocks whilst snowboarding, but it doesn’t always work out in our favour. Capita have used an easy-to-repair extruded base, so you’re free to focus on having fun rather than worrying about taking chunks out of the bottom.

Lightweight woods make up the core, so when you’re carting Junior’s board to and from the car, you won’t be left too tired to keep up with them for the rest of the day.

Tester’s Verdict 2018/19

Lightning

“This is the best graphic I have ever ridden on a board, I love it. It was also the lightest board I have ever ridden, I knew it was going to be great for park. I rode it for three hours and absolutely loved it, then I did a roof drop to flat from about two metres and it snapped. The core broke clean through the base near the nose on the heel edge.”

Dad’s Comments

“A beautiful looking board with great flex, and it’s incredibly light; it felt exactly like the kind of board you’d expect Scott Stevens to ride; Plenty of pop without being too stiff. Sadly it didn’t last long. I would love to give the kids another go to see if it was a faulty core, or just a symptom of making a board this light.”
