We’ve all seen groms on the mountain that put us to shame, you know the ones. The kids who hit kickers bigger than them, throwing tweaked out methods while their parents struggle to keep up, and the Scott Stevens Mini is the board for those kids. They’ll rip up the whole mountain and stop for a juice box at the bottom, nary even the first tell tale sign of puberty in sight.

Progression is the name of the game, and to make things easier for your little ripper, CAPiTA has upgraded the Scott Stevens Mini to their MICRO-GLASS biax fibreglass. Sandwiching the lightweight Poplar core, and bonded with an eco-friendly resin, this specially formulated laminate is built for increased control and ease of riding for smaller frames.

“The pressure down the edges is constant when riding flat base, but not as catchy and aggressive as traditional camber”

The Scott Stevens Mini is flat between the inserts offering a rock-solid ride, the pressure down the edges is constant when riding flat base, but not as catchy and aggressive as traditional camber. Rockered out to the tips, reducing the chances of nasty hook ups, increasing float in deeper snow and making it easier to lock into presses and butters.

Most kids aren’t as conscientious with their possessions as you’d like them to be, so CAPiTA has supercharged the Scott Stevens Mini with a durable, easy repair extruded base, full steel edges and ABS sidewalls to make this the gift that keeps giving.

If you’ve ever seen Scott Stevens ride you’ll know he brings a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ to the table. It could be his boundless creativity, perhaps it’s his deep bag of futuristic tricks, or maybe, juuuust maybe, it’s because he rides the CAPiTA Scott Stevens Pro Model snowboard. We’re not saying strapping your kid into this scaled down version will have them hitting clean Natas Spins within the week, but we’re also not not saying that…

Tester’s Verdict 2018/19

“This is the best graphic I have ever ridden on a board, I love it. It was also the lightest board I have ever ridden, I knew it was going to be great for park. I rode it for three hours and absolutely loved it, then I did a roof drop to flat from about two metres and it snapped. The core broke clean through the base near the nose on the heel edge.”

Dad’s Comments

“A beautiful looking board with great flex, and it’s incredibly light; it felt exactly like the kind of board you’d expect Scott Stevens to ride; Plenty of pop without being too stiff. Sadly it didn’t last long. I would love to give the kids another go to see if it was a faulty core, or just a symptom of making a board this light.”
