UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2019/2020 Burton Rewind here
Burton calls this “the hardest charging ‘soft’ board on the mountain,” so female riders who prefer something with a mellower flex may want to take a look at the new-look Burton Rewind women’s snowboard.
There are a few asymmetrical elements to the Burton Rewind, although the outline is true twin. The raised pads for your bindings (which to let you use the Channel mounting system on a board with an impossibly thin core) are positioned to match up with the ‘duck’ stance – that’s toes pointing out the way – favoured by most park riders.
“If you want to press everything from the piste to the down-flat-down then you’ll love this”

Even with that extra-thin core, Burton has still managed to vary the thickness for a better flex, and that’s lined up with the park stance too. Finally, the ‘Frostbite’ sections of edge that stick out a little for added grip are placed at different points on the heel and toe edge.
The core makes it really quite bendy from end to end, so if you want to press everything from the piste to the down-flat-down then you’ll love this. Triax fibreglass makes it a little more rigid from edge to edge, which may take some getting used to, but it does mean you get a bit more control at high speeds.
While you can give it a razz – especially as it has a decent sintered base – the focus should be on chucking this off everything in sight, from side hits to park jumps. If that sounds like your cup of tea, check out the Burton Rewind women’s snowboard.
