Female freeriders are well catered for by the Salomon Pillow Talk – as well as the new Pillow Talk Split – but for the all-rounder, the Salomon Wonder snowboard is probably the better choice.
Profile-wise, a formidable camber bend is flanked by rocker sections at each end. This is a popular setup for all-mountain boards as you get plenty of power and edge hold but with a slightly more freestyle-friendly feel. The directional twin shape is another hallmark of the all-terrain vehicle; stability in your normal stance, but switch is still very much on the table.

The Salomon Wonder boasts a medium flex, and getting pop out of this thing is a piece of cake thanks to a core (made of specially selected Aspen wood) that varies in thickness as you move from nose to tail.
Don’t worry about any loss of strength, though; basalt stringers run the length of this board to reinforce it, as well as improve its chatter absorption. Rubber has been placed in the sidewall to further dampen vibrations and take the edge off heavy landings in the park.
Game-changing design? Hardly, but the Salomon Wonder is a strong example of the dependable one-board quiver.
