The eyewear specialists at Spy claim to have been the first to step up the premium-lens game. Whether or not they were the pioneers, no-one can dispute the quality of the brand’s ‘Happy’ lenses. Named for their supposedly mood-enhancing properties, they boost the contast for a pin-sharp view of the mountain.
With the Spy Bravo snowboard goggles, a spherical lens gives you great peripheral vision, but the medium-sized frame doesn’t dominate your face. The lens is thicker around your eye, but thinner as you move out towards the edges.
The result is that visual distortion – which really can make you feel a bit odd – is decreased, leaving you to focus on whatever it is you’re careering towards. Thanks to an anti-fog coating on the inner side, you’ll always have a clear view too.
“These have one of the best lens-changing systems in the business”

The Spy Bravo goggles have one of the best lens-changing systems in the business – one that’s so easy to use, you can do it while wearing gloves, even while the frame is still on your face. A push of the button on the left hand side releases tabs on either side from the catches holding them in place, which you can hold onto rather than risk touching the lens.
To apply the new lens is simple; just guide the tabs back in to the catches, and the whole thing will click nicely into position. Given that the Bravo goggles come with a spare low-light Happy lens as standard, there’s no reason not to be prepared for any conditions.
