So on Friday morning whilst we were all sat in offices or at school all round the country, the Olympic halfpipe athletes over in Vancouver were partying their night away. If you were following our Twitter feed from Ed then you would have noticed that a few of them were at Shaun White’s party, but with a noticeable absence from the man himself. Well that was because he was flying down to Chicago to meet with the American first lady of chat-shows, Oprah.
Whilst possibly on the slightly too “woo-hoo USA” side of things you have to let the guy have his moment (again) and so we’ve stuck the interview up on here. Watch on to see what Shaun has to say about Double McTwist 12s and growing up as a pro-snowboarder from a very early age. At the beginning you even get the end of the previous interview with Lindsey Vonn, the other American hero of the games, who took gold in the ladies’ down hill skiing and the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. As much as Shaun can do awesome things in a halfpipe, you can’t blame them for choosing Lindsey for the swimwear.
