If you’ve been living under a rock, enjoying all the powder out in the Alps at the moment without a wifi connection or simply aren’t in the habit of checking Facebook as regularly as you perhaps used to, you might (and we stress, might) have missed the news that 16 year old Yuki Kadondo from Japan became the youngest ever winner of an Air and Style event, stomping a huge backside triple cork 1440 in the very last run of the competition in Beijing to better Peetu Piiroinen’s cab 1260. Here’s the official World Snowboard Tour recap video which of course features Yuki’s winning run as well as a few other runs that you may not have seen yet from the likes of Seb Toots, Mark McMorris and curent Big Air and overall WST leader Roope Tonteri. How rad is that backside double Japan from Sage Kotsenburg? And c’mon commentator man, we’re sure Chad Guldemond and Sage weren’t exactly shedding a tear over being drawn against each other – at least it meant that one of them was guaranteed to make it to the next round right?
Overall this is a pretty decent round up of the action though. At least they’ve gone and found themselves a far more tolerable voiceover man…
