The speckled mountains of Hemsedal, Norway have been the backdrop for many iconic moments in snowboarding’s history over the years. The resort is perhaps one of the most photographed shred spots in the world, and has hosted everything from low-key park shoots to full blown world records (Mads Johnsson’s record breaking 57m frontside 360 back in 2005).
Oakley invited their global team there last spring, for an all time session on a perfectly sculpted hip, and the shots speak for themselves. While 10 dudes, one hip definitely sounds like a bad porno, the footage from the shoot, featuring Charles Reid, Sven Thorgren, Heikki Sorsa, Terje Hakonsen, Mikkel Bang, Kazu Kokubo, Stale Sandbech, Torstein Horgmo, Craig McMorris, and Mark McMorris, was anything but.
Watch Terje get his one-foot game on, Torstein Horgmo launch a backside 360, Kazu shifty it up, Stale float a classic alley-oop front 3, and McMorris scrape the stratosphere with the method that graced the 150th issue of Onboard Magazine. Classic stuff right here.
