Lest he be forgotten, David Hablutzel was one of the stand out riders in the Sochi 2014 halfpipe finals. The Swiss Burton team rider put down run after run through the day and ended up in an impressive fifth place, just behind El Blanco himself.
Then later in the year he got himself on the podium at the US Open, coming in third just behind Taylor Gold and Taku Hiraoka, pretty impressive stuff for an for someone only just old enough to buy a pint.
But he’s not just a pipe rider, check out his season edit above featuring some pretty burly double variations over some sizeable comp jumps. Plus, that corked front three at the start is one of the sickest things we at WL have seen on a jump all year.
Who knows, maybe we’ll see another Swiss gold at the next Olympics, this guys got the legs to go on to great things.
