Arbor Snowboards are doing us all a solid and bringing the goods. They’ve just released Mario Wanger’s full part from Local Surroundings. The celebration of all things local came out late last year featuring Mario, Werni Stock, Tom Tramnitz and their hometown buddies.
“A trip down Z-Valley is never complete without a Penken Park session”
We now get to ogle Mario’s part in its entirety, and you see him rip shit up across the whole mountain. Starting out with a dreamy powder section we see Mario step off the beaten track to paint lines along some wide-open faces, navigate through narrow couloirs and drop steep cliffs. Big slashes and rooster tails are the order of the day are getting us too hyped to go riding.
While you’re out in the wild and the snows been dumping there’s only one thing to do… Mario and his homies build up a mega backcountry booter and he goes to town with some smooth as sin moves. In a world of quad corks and triple rodeos, a lofty frontside 360 off a powder kicker is still king in our eyes. Big up Mario!
A trip down Z-Valley is never complete without a Penken Park session, and Mario doesn’t disappoint. He boosts through Mayrhofen’s infamous terrain park and gives us a lesson in aerial mastery.

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to ride in the Zillertal Valley, you’ll no doubt recognise some of the spots in this clip. And if you haven’t, well now you’d better book a flight ASAP and pop your Zillertal cherry.
Mario’s rocking an Arbor Relapse, dominating every terrain he finds himself in. The only classic camber option in their line, perfect for getting bags of pop and aggression while you’re riding. Check it out here…
