They say: The park to peak Rockette.
We say: Are you the kind of lass who loves jibbing about and getting stuck into boxes and rails? Then have a look at the Lo-Fi Rocker. Its softish flex and reverse camber shape means it’s great in the park or indoors, though less good on icy pistes.
Tester says: Super buttery and easy to press. Poppy park fun!

About Rome
- Building boards since: 2001
- HQ: Waterbury, VT, USA
- History lesson: Formed by two former Burton employees in 2001, Rome’s stated goal was the “corrosion of the corporate…by any means necessary”. Josh Reid and Paul Maravetz started the company after long stints in the industry, deciding that the business of building boards had stagnated and become too focussed on corporate bullshit. Rome offered to “bust out a king-sized syringe, depress the plunger and corrupt the system”. They’ve managed to keep their anti-corporate rep despite now being one of the biggest, most successful board brands in the world.
- Ridden by: Grungy young guns who duct tape the holes in their jackets cos they prefer it that way. And everyone in Scotland.
