DAMNNN Salomon, back at it again with the Popster core. Designed to recreate that skateboard feel when popping through your tail the Popster core plays with the thickness of the wood throughout boards internal workings.

You’ve got a thin, snappy section between your bindings and tapering out to the nose and tail. While a thicker area on the outside of your feet provides the strength and control you need.

The specially selected aspen wood is hand chosen for maximum quality to ensure a lightweight and reliable core. Ghost Basalt Stringers help to keep a consistent pop and smooth out the chatter for a ride that’s made even damper by the ABS Sidewalls. These super tough sidewalls help to distribute energy down the length of the board for great response and edge control that also helps to take a little sting out of heavy impacts.

To finish things off Salomon want to ensure that the Dancehall is ridden to its full speed potential and have opted for a nippy little sintered base.

“All mountain” is a term that gets slapped onto a hell of a lot of snowboards these days, but the Salomon Dancehaul is up there as a firm contender for a truly all mountain destroyer.

Carves, steep & deep powder, tree lines and even freestyle are not only possible, but downright fun. The only Achilles heel is that landing switch isn’t quite as easy as it would be on a true twin board… but that’s hardly surprising given the directional shape. And saying that it’s still not impossible, despite having a directional shape the binding inserts aren’t set back so you can still keep your weight central and get your rotation on.

The Dancehaul was our Whitelines Choice Award winner for best All-Mountain snowboard in 2020/2021 so it’s a safe bet that this years is a belter too.
