UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2018/2019 Salomon Assassin here
If you had to pick one Salomon board to see you through the whole winter, covering every riding style and terrain, the Salomon Assassin would probably be your best bet. This modern classic leans towards freestyle, but is built to be put to good use way beyond the boundaries of the park.

The centre of the board is essentially a rectangle; the edges are straight, and the profile is flat. As you move out towards the ends, it becomes more like a conventional cambered twin, and the result is a classic-feeling board that aims to offer above-average stability.
When you’re really Mach-ing it on the sintered base, cork helps to keep vibrations to a minimum for a smoother ride. Then when you’re ready for launch, the ‘Popster Booster’ core is there for you. It uses varying thicknesses of wood from end to end, which gives you maximum ollie power for the weight. There’s also bamboo in there to increase the longitudinal snap.
The Salomon Assassin comes pre-tuned for freestyle, so you can take it straight to the rails without having to worry about hang-ups. At the same time it’s prepped for a decent burn around the piste, so there’s nowhere you can’t go with this.
