UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2018/2019 Roxy Torah Bright here
Roxy clearly know when they’re on to a good thing. Ever since they recruited Torah Bright, they’ve involved her in the design of some of their best-performing snowboard gear. As well as the XOXO snowboard and Team binding, there’s this: the Roxy Torah Bright snowboard.
“When you want to really press out a rail trick or butter the groomers, half of the work is done for you”

The Queen of Australia’s pro model is the only board in the Roxy range to feature Magne-Traction edges. Also found on the boards of Mervin Manufacturing stablemates Lib Tech and Gnu, this involves the use of a wavy edge to grip the snow at several points, rather than just a couple. This is ideal for a halfpipe rider like Torah, as you get insane grip on the icy walls.
It’s not just for uber-precise pro-level riding, however. The profile has a pronounced rocker section between the feet, so it’s a little more forgiving than camber boards of similar stiffness. When you want to really press out a rail trick or butter the groomers, half of the work is done for you. Then when charging a face or setting up for a spin, camber sections under the feet work together with the Magne-Traction to give you more than enough edge grip.
